The Lost Dutchman State Park in the Superstition Mountains (at 2,000 ft. elevation), Salt River and Lake Saguaro Recreation Area are just about 45 minutes drive to the east. The South Mountain is also just to the west of the Chandler/Ocotillo Lakes area. For local attractions, Chandler has the Center for the Arts, a world-class facility located in its historic district which showcases talents from the opera, jazz musicians, plays and well-known headliners.
